*You will backpack to Yellowstone Lake where you will embark on your sea kayak expedition, spending 15 consecutive days in the backcountry!
Itinerary
The Thorofare is Wilderness Adventures’ ultimate and most challenging backcountry itinerary: a rugged, two-and-a-half-week expedition that will test your skills to their fullest potential. Begin with a 10-day backpacking traverse through the Teton Wilderness, one of the Lower 48’s most remote and awe-inspiring regions. On day 10, meet a Wilderness Adventures sea kayaking specialist on the backcountry shores of Yellowstone Lake, where a resupply and kayaks await.
From there, shift the adventure to water for 5 days of paddling across Yellowstone Lake, sharpening technique and experiencing the wilderness from an entirely new angle. Emerge from the backcountry with hard-won skills, unforgettable memories, and friendships forged over weeks in some of the country’s wildest terrain.
